I've always heard about a mysterious five-hour version of TWIN PEAKS--FIRE WALK WITH ME floating around out there. Now that would be amazing in HD! Lynch's visuals and Badalementi's soundscapes...man.

I think I'd love to see 1983's thriller CURTAINS in HD. I always felt it was a beautifully filmed movie. Nice wintery Canadian locations, ect. Why, I bet even the hot tub scene ("...just like the casting couch - only wetter...") would look great. How about that killer-on-skates sequence! Very welcome film to the format for me.

PANORAMA BLUE

Starring Rene Bond and Uschi Digard, PANORAMA BLUE is a fascinating softcore porn flick shot in 70mm and intended to be seen in the theater. Its a fun flick even when watching SWV's crappy P&S bootleg but the HD trailer on the 42nd Street Forever BD showcases just how awesome this can be.

SKATETOWN USA

Like PANORAMA BLUE, the trailer on the 42nd Street Forever BD is stunning and unfortunately the only option for seeing this film is a crappy P&S bootleg. It's a fun film filled with 80's clothes and hair just as shiny as the freshly waxed skate rink floor. It also has a killer soundtrack.

For me it'd have to be Edge Of The Axe, probably won't ever see a DVD-release either.

I haven't seen Panorama Blue but I have seen that crappy P&S bootleg of Skatetown USA and it's a fun 90 minutes or so. That killer soundtrack is probably one big reason it'll never see the light of day on blu-ray.

I agree with Blood Beach. Just watched that hideous piece of filmmaking that I have loved for the past 30 years and definitely need to see it in HD!!!

We are treated to all these great movies coming out by Shout/Synapse/Twilight/Blue Underground/Olive/etc... over the last couple of years. So many future releases coming, with what seems like a new announcement almost every week. Many here on this thread finally got that Blu announcement.

As these "holy grails" are starting to come to reality, they are thinning out. Yet still there is one that sits on top of the list imo. Now sure people have films that they are waiting for various personal reasons/tastes, but Blood Beach tends to be on a lot of peoples list. Hell the movie never got a US dvd release. Imo Blood Beach as a "want" sat right up there with The Boogens & Curtains. The "when hell freezes over" category.(both now out on Blu-ray) All these other recent releases are great too, but they tend to be movies that had a DVD already, or eventuality would get a Blu-ray treatment. Films that get better transfers/special editions etc...

So, hear we are in 2014. And is there any news whatsoever on a Blood Beach Blu-ray release?

It's funny how many of the titles that people listed just a year ago have been released or announced. Some of the "holy grails": Curtains, The Final Terror, Deadly Eyes.

BLOOD BEACH is at least in the "spotlight" (a term I use to describe movies that have been dug up out of the ground and brought to people's attention). The director of that film recently came out of the woodwork to talk about how no one knows who has the rights but he would like to see it released legitimately. How can he not know who owns the rights? Ask the producer! Whoever bankrolled it and distributed the VHS. The film didn't make itself.
