10 Blu-ray/DVDs That You Won't Let Go

Inspired by a thread I saw over at blu-ray.com, I thought it would be interesting to see what list horror forum members would have. It goes like this: If you had no choice but to let go of your entire blu-ray/DVD collection EXCEPT 10 titles, what would they be? It is fair to choose a "set" as one of the 10 titles if you like.

My List:
1) Jaws
2) Dawn of the Dead (78)
3) The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly
4) King Kong (33)
5) The Shining
6) Escape From New York
7) Horror Express
8) Death Wish 3
9) The Exorcist
10) Monty Python & the Holy Grail

Very hard to do. Here's what I came up with from my 1,000+ discs:

-Freaks and Geeks - The Complete Series: Yearbook Edition
-Unsolved Mysteries: Ultimate Collection
-Tarantino XX Box Set (Reservoir Dogs, True Romance, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Kill Bill Vols. 1 & 2, Death Proof, Inglourious Basterds)
-High School Flashback Collection (The Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, Weird Science)
-Return of the Living Dead: UK Steelbook
-Indiana Jones - The Complete Adventures
-The Lord of the Rings - The Motion Picture Trilogy: Extended Edition
-Clerks: 15th Anniversary Edition Blu-ray
-Back to the Future: 25th Anniversary Trilogy
-An American Werewolf in London: Full Moon Edition

This being a horror site I decided to restrict my choices to the genre and only select one title from a franchise that I love so my list would actually only consist of 10 movies. Not really in any particular order;

1) Manhunter (1986)
2) Friday the 13th The Final Chapter (1984)
3) Black Christmas (1974)
4) Halloween (1978)
5) The Thing (1982)
6) Evil Dead (1982)
7) The Fog (1980)
8) My Bloody Valentine (1981)
9) A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984)
10) The Return of the Living Dead (1984)

1. The Third Man (Criterion). Great movie, great transfer, rare as hell.
2. Twilight Zone Collection. Would be number one, but it is easily obtainable. Without question the best blu-ray's I've ever seen.
3. Original Romero Trilogy (Happinet). While all three films have their issues (NOTLD cropping, erratic transfer on all three cuts of Dawn and bland transfer on Day), they are the best versions of the films on blu-ray IMO. They all have exceptional packaging as well.
4. Glengarry Glen Ross. Amazing film. Nice transfer too. Shame it's region B locked.
5. Universal Monsters Collection. The main reason why I wanted a 3DTV. Didn't disappoint.
6. Watchmen (Theatrical Cut). This superior (IMO) version of the film is only available on blu-ray in the U.K.
7. Return of the Living Dead. This U.K. steelbook has the best extras and the original audio with a great transfer.
8. Re-Animator. The U.K. Second Sight steelbook contains a 4K transfer of the unrated cut as well as the Integral cut (inferior, but nice to have).
9. Big Trouble In Little China. Arrow steelbook is a must have.
10. Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid. Italian import with a very impressive transfer.

R2 Phantasm Limited Edition Collector's Sphere set
The Fog
Halloween
The Boogens
Over The Edge
Rock N Roll High School
The Incredible Melting Man
Prince of Darkness
Yellow Submarine
Dazed and Confused

I may revise this a bit later. This list is made up of time tested favorites, some stemming back to pre school days, but a few were bumped into tenth place on the basis of the package/extra features. The Emilio Vieyra Killer Queen Box Set came close on that basis, but I really don't like the films that much.
