It's going to cost me over $5 for shipping and bubble envelope. That only leaves me with $6. Maybe i'll see if I can get something for it at my flea market. You would think it's the sellers responsibility to make sure the photo is of the same movie that they are selling. I guess that's one more reason to hate remakes.
What a bunch of crap. Take responsibility for the merchandise you sell pal! I'll never buy from that seller, that's for sure.

Can't you just scribble return to sender on it?! Anyway Ash use your head file a pay pal dispute watch who wins. 99% of the time the buyer wins and the seller gets shafted. Also for future reference please follow my safety guidelines.

Do not bid on an item with STOCK pictures!
Do not buy from eBay resellers with more then 500 feedback!
Do not pay more then $3 for shipping!

On a side note I love sellers who don't know what they listed. "The item may or may not contain artwork or case but is in very good to excellent condition"

pffffffffft fuq you!

I'm going to ask him to pay for half the shipping and if he doesn't maybe i'll raise a complaint with paypal, just because i'm in a pissed off mode today.

I still think you should contact ebay, it's is there fault, yes he should have checked, but if you type in the barcode of the item into ebay, it's will provide you with a stock listing, that includes description and photo, so they have incorporated the wrong picture with the wrong description, i don't think it will hurt to kick up a fuss with them

I used to sell on eBay, and I sometimes would use the stock photo, but I did make sure that it was the correct stock photo, if not, I had a digital camera, and I would take pictures of it. I sold my wedding dress that I purchased a year before I got married, and I took a picture of it, along with the veil and crown that I purchased for it. I sold it because it didn't fit, and I had to purchase a new wedding dress. I don't sell on eBay anymore, because of the eBay and PayPal fees got to high. Hope this gets resolved soon, Ash.

They need to take responsibility for misrepresenting an item. If they don't like that then tough shit get your money back.

He needs to put that seller in his place don't take crap from them. File a charge back if all else fails that's what I do. If pay pal get's cute I just take matters into my own hands. You can do it the easy way or the hard way. Rub me the wrong way it's open season on your ass. If they want to do this the hard way bitch slap them.

The seller has agreed to split the shipping cost so I guess I'm happy with that.

Consider yourself lucky Ash.

Buyers are ALWAYS responsible for return shipping costs. This is the ebay rule. (in fact it says it right on the auction item page) Regardless of what type of mistake it is. Wrong item, broken item, buyer unsatisfied with item, etc...

The seller is absolutely not obligated to pay for return shipping charges. REFUNDS on the actual item yes, but shipping charges no. Any refunds on shipping charges are totally up to the seller, so you had no stance to file a complaint.

I hope this info helps you. You did the right thing by just asking for a break on the shipping charges. Filing any complaints would have gotten you nowhere.

Really, Even if they sent me a bag of wheat? So I guess the most I could of done was send him a negative review. Sucks that you would be made to pay any amount for something you didn't order.

That's why he probably agreed to paying for half. Most sellers would just pay for the return shipping to avoid negative feedback & for the hope of you buying from them again.

Like I said, it's part of Ebay's Policy. Buyers pay for all return shipping regardless & Seller's are not obligated to wave any return shipping fees.

This would be really brutal if shipping was like $75 or more. Stupid rule by eBay!
