Nightmare on Elm Street 3 - Universal???
A Nightmare on Elm Street 3 just started on Encore HD and the Universal introduction (the spinning globe) preceded it. Did I miss something or did the network make a mistake?

Universal?
Are you sure it wasn't just the end logo to a film ending right before it?I don't have Encore, so am not sure if they air ads/trailers before they start a new movie...but I can't imagine what Universal could possible have to do with a New Line/Warner library film.

Quote:
1. Encore HD Feature Presentation 2. The following is rated R 3. Adult Content, Adult Language, Brief Nudity, Violence 4. Universal introduction 5. "Sleep. Those little slices of Death. How I loathe them." - - Edgar Allan Poe 6. New Line Cinema, Heron Communications, Inc. and Smart Egg Pictures present (so on and so forth). It has to be an error on the networks part right?

I would think so, but the way studios acquire and lose the rights to films nowadays...nothing would really surprise me.
Perhaps Universal just currently have the TV distribution rights or something?

Weirder things have happened. Old TV prints of American International's I WAS A TEENAGE FRANKENSTEIN used to say that it was an MGM release!
