Demonic possession, actually. Demons aren't ghosts and ghosts aren't demons. Demons like Lucifer are fallen angels and ghosts are dead people. The two sub genres have little in common. Ghosts will sometimes possess the living but they rarely do for any extended length of time. It expends too much energy.

I thought that would be more possession, since solely the girl was affected by the demon taking over her soul. Whereas in Amityville II: The Possession, there was blood from the taps, paintbrushes painting by themselves and those evil things in the basement making it more haunting.

Yes, but "Haunting" refers to "ghosts" or other "supernatural beings". I always considered the spirit of a "demon" as a "supernatural being". I guess it´s different forms of interpretations.

Hey, we can argue over opinion until the cows come home but you can't argue over hard facts. Well... you could, but that would instantly mark you as ridiculous.

Amityville II was a combination of the two sub-genres. You had the demonic possession, but you also had the ghost of the sister in the mix.
