Sage Stallone 1976-2012

Sad news indeed. I love Grindhouse releasing and thank them everyday for finally giving me the chance of seeing such flicks as Cannibal Holocaust, Cannibal Ferox and The Beyond.

R.I.P. Sage!

This is very sad to hear, R.I.P.

Without him, I don't know where my film fascination would have taken me, since The Beyond sent my movie habits into upheaval and really led me down the road to collecting Eurohorror, which is now my premiere subgenre of scary movies. I had watched a handful of others before, but not until The Beyond did it totally click and the light bulb went off that turned into about a 5 year long obsession that I still dabble in today.

I had a chance to briefly meet him at Flashback Weekend a few years ago while he was promoting the film CHAOS with the director and producer. Very nice guy. Way too young to die. RIP Sage.

Damn prescription drugs. Responsible for the loss of too many people. May he rest in peace. My sympathies go out to his family.

And I just saw Sylvester Stallone yesterday at Comic-Con. Really creepy, and sad at the same time.

wow, that really sucks. The Grindhouse Releasing discs are some of the favorites in my collection. Without them, I probably never would have seen Pieces. Terrible for the rest of his family too. I can't imagine how awful it must be to lose a child so young. RIP.

I heard about his death while watching my local news at work and was bummed out for the rest of the day. He did an awesome job with the Grindhouse Releasing DVDs and seemed like a really cool person. His family has my sympathies. Rest In Peace, Sage.

R.I.P. Sage

Very sad, he was close to my age...just a little younger.

Very sad news. I always had alot of respect for him for putting those Great Horror Movies on DVD and giving them the Deluxe Treatment! So sad for Sly Stallone to lose his Son at such young age. My heart goes out to him.

I couldn't believe that Sage passed away. I have Cannibal Ferox, Limited Edition Cannibal Holocaust, The Beyond, all from Grindhouse Releasing. I hope that Bob will continue Grindhouse Releasing without Sage. I remember seeing Cannibal Ferox, in the 80s, when it was under the alternate title "Make Them Die Slowly."
