I doubt he will hit the monthly goal but even if we ended up with a new FM blu every 2-3 months, I'd be happy.

Well I don't buy the Full Moon editions because the quality (I'm assuming) for every release now has been inferior to 88Flims. Sad that the UK is putting out better editions than the studio themselves.

Trancers Blu-ray review: http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Trance...107221/#Review

Of course no lossless audio again, since Full Moon doesn't give a rat's ass. I'll gladly wait for the 88 Films release which will be superior.

According to Full Moon Features & Charles Band Facebook, Dr. Mordrid is coming to Blu-ray soon!:

"Jeffrey and I at the Doctor Mordrid session! Recording the commentary for the blu ray release coming soon..."

Nice... Doctor Mordrid is one of my FM favorites. Hopefully 88 Films will release it on Blu-ray in the near future also.

From DVD Newsflash's Facebook!:

"
"SHRIEKER (1998) WIDESCREEN EDITION HITTING DVD!!

Did I ever tell you how much I love Full Moon's SHRIEKER (1998) movie? No. I guess I haven't. For some reason that movie creeped me out when I first saw, so you can imagine how I reacted when I was told of this news from David DeDeCoteau's page:

"Just completed the dvd audio commentary for the 15th anniversary of the widescreen panavision version of Shreiker! Coming soon to fullmoonstreaming.com and dvd! With brad rushing and jason-shane scott!"

SHRIEKER (1998) WIDESCREEN EDITION HITTING DVD!!"

Though the full moon transfers to bluray are a definite upgrade from the vhs, unfortunately the cropped picture (Subspecies, for example) takes away from the true intent of the film's original version

Actually:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0103002/technical

I have a bunch of Full Moon films on Laserdisc, and if I crop the picture to 1.85:1, the framing looks much better on all of them. Less empty space above the actors heads etc.
Even though the movies was made for direct to video release, they still shot them in typical open matte style. Maybe in case some of them would get a theatrical release in other parts of the world, which happened with some direct to video movies back then.

Yes indeed. These films were made to be seen in theaters at 1.85 to 1. I'm sure some people feel nostalgic about the hideous full-frame transfers that we were stuck with for years. But I've been consistently astounded by how great these Blu-rays look. They're not reference material or anything like that. But they look like real MOVIES now, not cheap shot-on-video crap. All of the Sub-Species and Puppetmaster Blus that I own are revelatory. I've enjoyed watching them much more than I thought I would.

I read a review or maybe it was just a comment from someone here, but it stuck with me. Full Moon DVDs look like VHS and Full Moon blus look like DVDs. Kinda true! Still. As a fan of their old stuff I never thought it would happen so I'm pumped about these blus.
