I think I will wait till the totally unexpurgated lovingly digitally recreated limited edition directors cut becomes available later in the year!

Saw this last night and thought it was awesome. Easily one of the best horror remakes to come out in a while. I'm surprised by some of the hate this is getting but I guess you can't please everyone.
I thought the gore was great and right up a gore-hounds ally. I didn't find this boring in the slightest either; there was always something happening. There were also a few good scares, plus the score in this film helped escalate what was going on. I'll admit the Abomination was a slight letdown but they still made it creepy. Overall I really enjoyed this and welcome a sequel. For me they got this remake right. 9/10

Saw it last night and I loved it!
I did get a bit worried after reading a lot of negative comments over here, but it was just as fun as I had hoped for. And I had no problems at all with the characters/actors. One thing that I also enjoyed was the soundtrack. No damn pop/rock songs, just an old-school horror movie score that worked perfectly for the movie. Everyone in the theater had a blast with the movie, and I canīt wait to see it again.

Glad to see some others that liked this as much as I did - I agree this is a remake done right for once
