Mondo Collection

Wasn't this bad boy scheduled for release in May? The Mondo-Digital website has it slated for October 28th. Anyone know anything about what happened?

It got shuffled in the line-up. Don't worry, though, it's all for the best. It's shaping up to be a KILLER set for Mondo fans.

May's titles are now BABA YAGA, DAUGHTERS OF DARKNESS and VAMPYRES. (I know EMANUELLE IN AMERICA is still up there as a May title, but it's in June with SALON KITTY. I'll fix it the next update.)

I missed out on the AB version of Vampyres but not this time. BU's will be mine along with Emanuelle In America. Those other ones I don't know much about but may become interested. Can't wait for the trailers!

Oh well, what's another few months. I guess I keep my old vhs copies a little while longer. Hey Bruce have you heard anything about a release of Shocking Asia coming down the line?

Never mind I answered my own question, looked at the Mondo-Digital wishlist and the Shocking Asias are there.

There's actually a few titles on the "Wish List" that are on the way, I'm just not allowed to discuss them yet, haha.

As for SHOCKING ASIA 1+2, I haven't heard anything yet, though I'm hoping if the Mondo Collection sells well (or even Synapse's BRUTES AND SAVAGES) that someone will pick them up. I'd also really like to see MONDO MAGIC hit disc.

I am dying to get Goodbye Uncle Tom on DVD as well as those other Mondo Classics.

Well, it is just as well that the Mondo Collection is delayed, as April and May already have too many must buy releases for me. Still the replacements are must buys as well, so, I won't be saving much. I have really become a Blue Underground fan.

Hopefully if the Mondo titles sell well Blue Underground will release some others.

I'd personally like to see the unforgettable "Addio Ultimo Uomo" and "Shocking Africa 2" make it on to disc, along with Nick Bougas' "Death Scenes 1 + 2".

"Savage Man, Savage Beast" and "Sweet and Savage" are two mondo's that i've not seen, but would like to see released on disc someday too.

Finally - I can't wait for "Emanuelle in America" to finally hit the shelf! Its one of my all time favourites and I really hope BU release it in an unmolested XXX version (they said they would, but rumblings from doom merchants in the past have suggested it probably will not be due to legal reasons...i hope they are wrong).

Maybe BU will release 2 versions (rated/unrated) of it though I can't image them actually doing this. I'll be getting this and Emanuelle and the Last Cannibals in the following months.
