Dead ringers on ebay... not legit right?

I'm trying to track down a copy of Dead Ringers on ebay. There are a lot for only a few bucks but are
all from Malaysia and such. There are also region 0, so there bootlegs, right?

Moogong is most likely right.

There are far too many bootlegs on Ebay.

Best bet is to find an OOP copy of the Criterion edition. It's a great disc and worth it if ytou can find one relatively cheap.

Well, I went ahead and bought a legit (for the price it better be legit) oop Criterion Collection
Dead Ringers. Its probably the best dvd of a Cronenberg film ever.

It could be the Anchor Bay barebones edition. That's what I have - got it at Sam Goody for like $10.

No, I made sure it was the Criterion edition. All things considered, it wasn't that bad a price ($43 US) but in Canadian dollars, it ends up quite a bit. But hey, still not much more than retail. Of course, you might have meant the cheap ones on ebay were the anchor bay ones. I'm pretty sure they were all bootlegs. I wonder if people are wary of ordering from Hong Kong 'cause of the SARS thing.

If I see someone on ebay selling an OOP dvd and it says they are from Hong Kong, I instantly assume bootleg.
I won't buy anything from H.K. after those fucking fucked up Star Wars bootlegs I bought!
I'm sure there might be some decent I might miss out on, but the country has no priarcy laws (my understanding, I could be wrong, but what I've seen backs the therory).
