Just ordered the 3 disk set of Suspiria...will I like it?

Will I like it? I am a huge horror fan who is not easily grossed out. I heard about it so I ordered it from amazon.com. Thanks for your help!

In a word: Yes.

The film looks great and the extras are good (even though I doubt they needed three discs for them) and the packaging is also superb. You'll love it.

I found it a letdown but it packs some of the best scenes I've ever come across.

Storywise it sucks ass though.

How can we say whether you'd like it or not? I know nothing about you. As a horror film this is essential imho. It has "issues" - but then we're talking italian horror here. The three disc set is the best version out there, so it's as good as it gets.

I don't find anything in it "gross". It has its moments of violence, but no better or worse than you've likely seen before. As far as Argento goes, it really is a nice disc.

Now - you can tell US if you liked it.

One of my top three Euro films on an awesome disc. The video transfer is perfect, the audio is amazing (IMO), and the extras are great. You should love it.

Admire the film as a visual masterpiece and you will come away very happy. The film is one of the most beautiful horror films ever made. The story is indeed weak, but in this case it doesn't really matter. I am still kind of angered that they spread this set out to three discs, but whatever, this set is a great purchase. The inclusion of serveral stiff-backed advertising materials is also a very cool addition.

Let's not forget the booklet with this one. It's huge and informative. Plus you get the soundtrack on a seperate CD. It doesn't bother me they put the doc on it's own disc - surely this was done to make it easier to ship both the limited edition version and the "normal" release - no?

If possible, play this sucker loud on the home theater if you have one. The movie is killer like that.

You can't beat getting the soundtrack disc, either.

Actually I don't think they could fit the documentary on the first disc if they wanted to because of all of the audio options. I believe the same thing happened with BAD TASTE.

yeah I like the DVD, the movie is also good. however, repeated viewings are seldom.
