House of 1000 Corpses and Monster Squad DVD's

Somehow on ebay there is a monster squad dvd, which is probably from the laserdisc, and a House Of 1000 Corpses dvd which actually looks real.

I would go fucking ape shit if I saw th Monster Squad DVD for sale!!!!! That's the movie want the most to come out of DVD. I would gladly pay $100 USD for that DVD!!! I emailed so many companies in regards to who owns the rights and no one seemed to fuss up. really pissed me off. Anyways, a LD coversion would be more than sufficient. I should go check this out! THANKS!!!

I want that and Night of the Creeps on DVD.

Someone asked the AB rep about those two flicks and he talked about them, basically saying to not expect those titles for a while, if at all.

I wouldn't waste your time on the DVD of House of 1,000 Corpses. It is the one that is right here.
http://www.alld9.com/dvd/DVDHR04031007.shtml

Picture quality has a 2 out of 5 rating, which means it's probably as good as that screener download that is on the Internet right now. Also, from that site it's only 9.88 compared to the prices it is on ebay.

If the House dvd is the same one I saw at a local show, the quality is decent, but it has the timecode running on the bottom. Definitely worth the wait until an official one comes out.

Those Monster Squad DVDs are bootlegs. Since they are P&S, the quality will essentially be the same as VHS (slightly better due to no degredation - if they actually came from an LD source).

Anyone who read my Monster Squad LD (Japanese widescreen import) knows that the film was shot in 2.35:1, and that there are huge differences (obviously) between the widescreen and P&S presentations.

I did have a copy of the widescreen Monster Squad LD for sale (see the Laserdisc forum), but I think my asking price of $80.00 is probably too cheap. You see, I ended up buying 2 copies of it. I like the movie that much where I wanted to have a backup of it. I need some money, though, so off goes the backup.

I say $80.00 is too cheap because the last few copies on ebay (the widescreen disc hardly ever shows up on ebay, but there have been a few over the last few months) have sold for $100+. Actually, the last one - see http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...category=18850 - sold for $152!!!!!! Ouch.
