No, really! So, in Pulp Fiction it's funny to die by zillions of bullets, or have your head blown off by mistake, but DEATH BY CARROT (I repeat: DEATH BY CARROT) IS DISTURBING?

well, I agree with Chaoster and Chris. Not all Rape Scenes are disturbing, only the realistically done ones can be.
Death by Carrot is not disturbing. |

I did a really fucked up rape scene in a little movie I made called Me and My Hand.
It's brutal.

The rape by hair curler in Sleepaway Camp is nasty. The most bizarre has to be a movie called Black Devil Doll From Hell. It deals with a crazed black ventriloquist dummy that rapes and possesses a large African-American woman. Very strange.

In the beginning of the movie "The Beast Within" has a rape scene that is unforgettable.

Rape scenes in certain movies disturb me more than others!
Oddly enough, the rape scenes in both Last House On the Left and I Spit on Your Grave didn't bother me at all...maybe because I went in EXPECTING it! 2 movie scenes that DID disturb me were... Elizabeth Shues (sp?) gang bang rape scene in Leaving Las Vegas. The black girl's gang bang rape toward the end of Showgirls. I know...weird choices right?...I dunno how to explain it myself. In fact, when I saw that scene toward the end of Showgirls when I originally rented it on video, I walked away from the movie (and found something else to do or some sh*t). I never saw the ending of the movie 'til much later (I think they were showing it on TBS or something & I caught the end. |

Has nobody said Once Upon a Time in America yet? The rape scene therein is very long, and very real. One of the most powerful scenes in a movie, I think, especially when taken in context of the film, and the relationship between the two characters, Noodles and Deborah, up to that point.
Oh yeah, and then there's the rape scene at the diamond heist where Noodles gets Carol. But she actually was begging for it (hey, don't bash me if you haven't seen the movie, she was in fact begging for it!), so it was more a 'fantasy rape'. It's a pretty powerful scene of it's own as well. Damn, now that I think about it, Bobby D. made out like a bandit in OUATIA, makin' it with Tuesday Weld and Elizabeth McGovern in the same flick.
