Dubbed or Subbed Which do you prefer?
I been watching a number of foreign horror films lately and I find watching it in Subtitles make for a much better overall viewing experience. When on the other hand when it's dubbed in English it can totally change the feel of the film, even making it feel cheep at times.
If you have the option which way would you rather watch a foreign film? |

Usually subbed, but sometimes I'll go for the dub like when I have friends over who can't read and have short attention spans!
Seriously I will go dubbed when I'm tired and don't feel like reading, or am kinda half watching while doing other shit. |

Big Daddy took the words right out of my mouth.
That is pretty much exactly what I do. |

I don't mind them dubbed. The reading makes me miss a lot of stuff because I'm too busy reading.

I like to have both, with subtitles you can see and hear the film as it's supposed to be heard, so that's good. But sometimes dubbing can turn what would otherwise be a terrible movie into a fun time. Sometimes the dubbing isn't half bad. I guess I prefer dubbing, but I can watch a film with subs fine.

When watching HK action films, it has to be subbed, but with Euro-horror, dubbed is fine.

I like to have both, for the sake of completeness, but I find that, with anime especially, if it's subbed I miss out on the movie because I'm concentrating on the text too much.

Dubbed. If I wanted to sit down and read for two hours, I'd go to the library.

I usually go with dubbed, since most of my DVDs don't have the option of watching the film in it's original language. Once in a while I will go with subs, but very rarely.
