I'm starting a Evil Dead references page on my site and I'm wondering if you guys can give me a hand. If people can list movies, cartoons, etc.. that have references to Evil Dead that would be great.

Evil Dead Trap is also oozing w/evil dead like scenes (most noticeably the evil-in-the-woods type camera work)--not that the ripped -off name is any indicator.

I actually abhor Evil Dead but I'll help you out anyway. In Chopping Mall, the character Michael says that chant(K.V.N. sorry I don't know the spelling lol) when he shows his ID badge to one of the robots.

The ED skull dagger was featured in Jason Goes To Hell.
In High Fidelity, they have a discussion about ED2. ------------------ "Have you ever had an Egyptian feast?" "They're back from the grave and ready to party!" |

Both films are referring to "The Day the Earth Stood Still". I'm pretty sure "Chopping Mall" predates "Army of Darkness" by more than a couple years regardless.

Here's two from left field.
In the episode of Animaniacs entitled "Video Revue" during the sequence of the T-Rex's attack, you can plainly see the drawn cover of both Evil Dead and Evil Dead 2 just below Wakko, Yakko, and Dot. And in the rarely seen Mickey Mouse cartoon Runaway Mouse from the mid 90's had an armed Mickey rising up on a window washer scaffold to confront the monster only to utter... "Yo monster, let's go!" |

Witchouse 2 - there's a scene that has a "Sam cam" or "evil cam" (whatever it was called) type shot. During the commentary the director even mentions it was an homage to Evil Dead.

Not Evil Dead, but you can see Bruce Campbell in Fargo. He's the actor on t.v. in the soap that one of the kidnappers (the quiet one, I think) is watching, I think either in the motel room or the cabin.
