I read somewhere (I forget where, now, sorry), that Larry Cohen's It's Alive trilogy will be released on DVD from Warner. box set, OAR, no extras, as I recall. Maybe it was extras TBA. Probably both.
...I think it was the site-we're-ridiculously-not-allowed-to-name-on-this-board's message board that I got this from. Or mhvf. I forget. |

Excuse my ignorance, but which message board are we not allowed to mention? I only use two others, DVDFile and the HTF and I have seen DVDFile mentioned quite a bit, so it can't be that one. Perhaps the snobbery and "my shit don't stink" attitude of the HTF that has gotten to one of the mods here. Hey, if it is, I understand, as I was nearly banned there for the mildest of comments, a joke not even directed at one of the members, in fact, only at Howie Mandel.

There is a site which the board members here have clashed with. So they don't like it named. It's onoly a big deal because people make it a big deal. I hardly feel impaired because I cannot mention them (it's not even a very interesting site and is full of snobs!)
Anyway - if and when It's Alive hits the shelves, I'll buy it. This is a must own as far as I'm concerned, with pride of place next to Basketcase waiting for it. |

Warner announced that they would be releasing the trilogy sometime in 2004 at the HTF chat. It is such a longggggg way away though!

Not only is Larry Cohen alive, but he is selling scripts for big bucks in Hollywood! Did you know he wrote "Phone Booth"? I haven't seen it, and don't really want to, but I saw the ad too many times. I was looking him up on imdb last weekend after a midnight screening of "God Told me To," and was surprised to find this out. I hope he returns to his politicized horror framework.
