Yeah - I read the Jay Slater review of this film, from his book. This sounds like pure unadulterated CRAPOLA.

I have a theory:

Blockbuster only carries 2 Shreik Show titles. Zombie 3 & 4, I think by them naming the film Zombie 5 they can sell the film
to all the Blockbuster chains!

Just a theory though...I'll be happy if its true so I can rent it first!!
But either way I'll definately get my hands on the film somehow.

I'm pretty sure that actually is the reason behind it. They know if they attach the word ZOMBIE to a movie it'll sell better. Can't blame them for trying to make some money, as long as something like ZOMBI 3 doesn't happen again. But yeah, I'm pretty sure that SS created the "ZOMBIE 5" moniker, as it's not even listed on IMDb (not that they're the final word, but they usually have all alternate titles listed).

Right. I've known about Killing Birds for quite a while now. I bought a Japanese VHS dupe a few years ago and I don't remember it ever going under the title "Zombie 5" until now.
