Yeah, just got finished with it. Sometimes I wonder how much awesomeness you can pack into an hour and a half.

Man that ROTLD disc is BUNK! I love the special features but the altered soundtrack and the altered tarman voice is enough to make me gag!

I just watched the Tartan R2 disc last night and it was like a breath of fresh air to see it in its original state. I'll never watch that MGM disc again unless I am watching the commentary.

I didn't really find the changes that bad. I mean they are what the director originally wanted so I'm cool with it. I actually liked how they lowered the music in some parts, like when
Spoiler:
they are nailing the door shut after Suicide dies, I can finally hear what they are saying, and when Frank kills himself, now I can hear that creepy death cry
but that's just me.

I understand if the director wants something a certain way but we all came to love the movie in its original format. When the music plays over the scene after they nail in tarman, it adds to the confusion and overall insanity of the scene. Also, I feel that the solo that starts playing when Frank gives his final scream goes hand in hand, and complement each other. I see no reason why they redubbed tarman's voice either. We wanted a DVD of ROTLD but I don't think anyone wanted a Lucas-esque edit of it. We wanted a DVD of it because we love the version that already exists. This is one of my favorite movies of all time and I don't appreciate the changes one bit.

Actually, I like this disc, and am not bothered by the changes. I don't think I'm such a stickler for having it "just right". Music being louder or not doesn't really phase me.

There is too much good shit in the movie for me to not watch it because of the sound. I would have liked it kept the same as before, but the new edit won't keep me from watching it.

Nothing will keep me from watching either, hence the R2 Tartan disc.
