EXORCISM opinions?
I just got the DVD of Exorcism in the mail as a trade. I haven't watched it yet, although I have seen the Wizard video version, entitled Demoniac. I was just wondering what everyone else thinks of this bizarre-looking film.

I thought it was pretty good, although not as good as some of Franco's other stuff around the same time.
The high points for me were the cool character Franco played and the once lovely Lina Romay. There is also some gore and alot of nudity to add to the enjoyment. The plot was pretty cool and Franco once again directs it in his great style. I'm very happy I have the disc of this, if I remember right, it was pretty nice all around.

I thought this was a good movie, kind of creepy, but not scary really. At least to me it wasn't scary. I had to watch it a couple times to follow exactly why he was killing the people, I didn't catch it the first time through. But once I caught that the movie made a lot more sense and I liked it a lot better.

I haven't finished watching the dvd of this. I saw the first 10 minutes or so and turned it off it just looked too cheap for me. (Coming from someone who actually kinda liked Island of Death hehe)

I didn't think it was bad. I was expecting a supernatural Excorcist rip-off.
After seeing the Hannibal movies again, I spent some time at Court TV's crime library and I could swear I read about a case that closely paralleled the plot of Excorcism, but I can't seem to find it now. Maybe I read it some place else. |

Haha, my dad walked in when the girl was upside down and had been stabbed in the...er...nether regions and had blood streaking down. "What the hell is that???"

I dunno, I think it's pretty dull. The static camera gives a interesting look, but also means a very slow pace. Lina Romay is gorgeous, probably the best thing to say about the film. The sex scenes aren't all that good either.
