I wascleaning out a drawer today and I found a piece of paper I wrote shortly after John McCarty's Splatter movie guide 2 came out (Anyone whos read that excellent book will automatically see where Im coming from). The titles Ive got since have been crossed out in red. Any comments on my choices?

Heres the second part. Nice to see a lot of these are coming out/already out on dvd!
But I just cant see myself following through on th the whole list. If youre observant and can see the staple that probably means there was another page, but thats probably gone for good!

I own He Knows You're Alone and would NEVER give up my VHS... unless fucking MGM would decide to give it the DVD treatment!

Yeah pat!!! I have a list I keep by me and it just says (when I get it) SENT or BEING SENT or ARRIVED or RECORDED and shit like that. So fun to look back and remember how much you wanted that certain movie

Well to each his own, I really like the stylings of John McCarthy and think his comments are worthwhile.

I am worried about you.
Your handwriting is SOOOOO neat - you gotta be a psycho. I have a long wish list at DDD where most of the things I want are. I find it easier to monitor what's being released to find the things I want - rather than keep a long list of things not already on DVD.... |

ARMED RESPONSE with the Great David Carradine, and Lee Van Cleef is worth picking up, and it's a lot of fun. I picked up the Platinum DVD of this film not too long ago at Walmart for $5.88.
THE BEING with one of my favorites, Martin Landau, is also worth searching for, it's got a great cast that includes Landau, Jose Ferrer, and Dorothy Malone. There are some great titles on that list, and now with so many DVDS coming out, some of them have made it to DVD. However, for the ones that are only out on VHS, part of the fun is searching for them, and going a Video Hunt to some used video shops, you never know what you might find at these used video shops now, and the prices on some of the VHS tapes are pretty low right now. I picked up some of my 'Dream Horror Films' a few months back at a used video sale, I picked up: BLOOD BEACH SILENT SCREAM THE DORM THAT DRIPPED BLOOD SCREAM(80'S Slasher) DEATH VALLEY BLACK ROSES HELL HIGH DON'T GO IN THE WOODS THE GODSEND DOOM ASYLUM DON'T OPEN TILL CHRISTMAS All of these I got for only $3 each!! Sometimes, it pays to take a Video Hunt every now and then!! Last edited by Richard Anthony; 07-14-2003 at 12:43 AM. |

Well Richard Anthony I live in Ireland and only one or two titles on my list were ever released over here
so videohunting is out of the way. Thanks to the internet though Ive made progress.NOTE TO ALL HORROR DVD FANS! Pick up a movie called Johnny Firecloud, something strange released it onto dvd as a double feature with one of the worst movies ever made "Bummer". This disc Is well worth it as Johnny Firecloud is a brilliant film and has a brilliant commentary as an extra, but dont take my word for it! http://www.dvddrive-in.com/reviews/i...yfirecloud.htm http://www.dvdauthority.com/reviews/johnnyfirecloud.asp Trust me you will not be disappointed. |
