Final Destination 3

I was reading at Dark Horizons that there may be a third Final Destination film. It depends tho... the second one didn't exactly eat up the box office and make tons of cash, but the DVD sales could help it. If there is a third one, they jokingly played around with the idea of it being a roller coaster disaster!! Wouldn't that be sweet to see chumps bein clipped and bashed on a roller coaster?

Nick

I'd be in line for a third fillm!

I read something about that idea on Bloody Disgusting a while back. It sounds cool and it's definately something I'd go see if I wasn't in the mood for a movie with substance. That has a lot of potential to be very gruesome.

I really enjoyed both films, hope there is a third but not if they they throw out some direct to DVD shite with zero budget. If that is the case it should be left alone with two solid movies.

They were talking about a thrid movie on the commentary on FD2, although they said they were just kicking around ideas right now. They did sound like they definitly were gonna do it though.

I'd like to see a third, as long as they don't fuck it up.

FINAL DESTINATION 2 made about 85% of what the original made, which is great for any sequel, and amazing for a horror sequel. Not since the elite slasher three (Freddy, Jason, Michael) have there been hold ups that good for horror films, and that was back in the 80's. I'd say a FINAL DESTINATION 3 will definitely happen.

"Movie producer and all around cool guy Craig Perry recently got to talking about the series that has made horror fans happy, 'Final Destination', and the possibility of a third film.

Though theatrically the film did very well (not as good as the first, but still profitable), the real litmus test will be how the DVD sales look. When the original was released two years ago on DVD, a lot less people had DVD players than do now, so if it sells well there's a good chance New Line will let it become a trilogy.

So what would it be about?

"We’ve been banging around a few ideas, but those are really hard to come by so I’m going to keep quiet...Somebody said why not have a roller coaster disaster? How much fun would that be? It would be badass. So, think about it"

Bizarre. You may remember a while back there were some rumors floating that the third entry was already written, and that the opening disaster would, indeed, be a roller coaster accident. Coincidence? Probably not, but it really would make for some amazing visuals."

Well its a fun rumor to imagine...and quite believable. That would be a sweet way to begin #3. If anyone has a better idea, bring it...

Rollercoaster ideas for part 3 is interesting, I am remember some of how House on Haunted Hill started out, with Vincent Price's Rollercoasters and rides, if Final 3 was something like that but longer and better, be cool.

I still have to see Part 2, meant to see it in cinema, but now will get the dvd, huge fan of the original, can't wait to see Part 2.

I read somewhere that a movie makes about 5 times as much money on video than it does in the theatres.

If that's the case, FD2 has got some revenue to cover costs. and doesn't New Line milk their franchises?

Everyone milks their franchises, as long there's probability it will make $, it will get made. The tricky thing is getting another good film out of the franchise.

Not quite. It came in at 300, 000 dollars short of THE RECRUIT, which captured the number one spot. Both films held up very good over their runs though, finishing with some solid numbers.
