Terror in the Aisles (1984) help (titles...yet again)

OK, what pisses me off about this movie is the fact that you don't know what scene of what movie you are watching. Can you help me with these titles:

1) The guy is talking to his (wife?) and he says "Let me in" and she says "You gonna hit me again"? and he says "No." but when she opens the door, he grabs her by the hair and says "I cannot believe how stupid you are"

2) A guy kills a postmaster because he "Wants that hat....". He kills him by running him over and then going to a man's house, but the wife answers the door. He says that he has something to deliver to the man.

3) old guy #1 is walking down the street and another old guy #2 comes up to him and says "I know what you did!, You murderer!" and old man #1 suddenly has a pocket knife slinged out (it was hidden somewhere under his watch) and slashes old guy #2's neck, yelling "Help! This guy needs help here!" before catching a taxi and driving away.

They should really put the title of what movie clip is being shown.

Okay, here you go.

Clip #1 is from the movie Vice Squad with Wings Hauser. Except he is a pimp and she is his hooker.

I believe Clip #2 is from the movie Alone In The Dark.

Clip #3 is from the movie Marathon Man.

I am sure that someone will soon correct me if I am wrong on any of these.

When they do a movie of just clips like that they SHOULD put the title on the screen, but they seldom do.

As far as the movies are concerned. Vice Squad is a great sleaze classic from the 80's. Hauser and Season Hubley, who at the time was still married to Kurt Russell.

I only saw Alone In The Dark once, years ago, but it was also a pretty good movie as far as I can recall.

Marathon Man is great! A terrific thriller!

No....It really would take away from the anonymous nature of the film clips and for quick cuts from films it wouldn't have been feasible. In the case of TERROR IN THE AISLES (the theatrical OR the crappy tv version), you SHOULD be able to recognize about 99% of the clips anyway....and some of the films are repeated ad nauseum (like the HALLOWEEN clips). And if you had any doubt about a particular movie clip after that, the film titles are listed in the credits anyway.

I like this movie. They have it to rent at my video store. God, I love those mom and pop places.

The name of this film is The Silent Partner, which is really terrific (if you can find a copy).

There are some great clips in Terror in the Aisles - however, judged by the loud BOOING when I saw this at the theater, there seemed to be only about 60% horror films covered. Somehow, Vice Squad, Silent Partner, ect. just didn't fit. Two quick clips of SUSPIRIA and a mentioned-but-not-seen DAWN OF THE DEAD were serious missed opportunities.
However what DID work were the scenes from MS. 45, the "Devil" section and the middle section which culminates with the exploding head in SCANNERS.
Since the film was put out by Universal (and shows many of their films) I was disappointed THE FUNHOUSE was left out.

I imagine a clip movie like this must be hell for the studio to clear all the red-tape and copyright issues if any attempt is to be made for future home video formats. Think of how long it took for Miami Vice to get released as an example. Updating all those music rights from the artists must have been a real pain-in-the-ass! Kudos to Universal for not altering the original songs however! Worth the wait for fans.
