Demons/Demons 2

Anyone have this box set?
http://www.pokerindustries.com/poker...u=DEMONBOX-DVD

Just curious if it's better or worse than the AB releases.

And is it anamorphic? I have heard conflicting things.

I have the separate discs by Dragon and these are not anamorphic.

Part 1 is one of my favorites. Brainless, gory fun.

I actually liked part 2 better (not a lot more than 1 though).

Loved both since grade school. The AB Demons 2 has extra footage that the import doesn't have if I recall correctly.

I love both, they so much express that 80's feeling. The soundtracks are really great.

I love them both and my kids do as well. When I say Demons in the theater upon it's release, they had people coming in with duffle bags and changing into demons throughout the movie. It was almost as fun as the zombies walking around Cerritos Center after watching Dawn of the Dead.

i've read a few reviews saying the Dragon DEMONS 2 is a lot better quality than AB's, but then again, it's nearly twice the price. I'm still waiting in hope of a genuinely decent version arriving somewhere sometime.

AB seem to have pretty much stopped re-mastering old DVDs. I'm still hoping for improved DVDs of LEGEND OF THE SEVEN GOLDEN VAMPIRES and BLACK HOLE amongst others.

Personally, I find the dragon release for Demons 2 does look better than Anchor Bay's. Demons by dragon is kinda grainy, but actually a bit brighter than AB's. I own that boxset with 3 discs. The third is disc is just an hour long make up demonstration and a long interview with lamberto bava that has no english subtitles. There are deleted scenes from Demons 2 (oddly, they are still in the film... weird) and trailers and stuff.

I dunno - I find my Anchor Bay DVD's to be so crisp and clear compared to the Dragon DVD's which look very grainy to me...almost like watching the films thru a mesh screen. Of course, I don't have the boxset, but the seperate releases.

The make up demonstration on my 3 disc set only runs about an hour and a bit. That combined with the Lamberto Bava interview makes it 2 hours long though. (typos on the packaging me thinks)
That interview is just basically almost an hour of just Bava sittin there, talkin, with no film footage spliced in to make it watchable. I bet he's sayin some interesting things, but who wants to look at an old fat guy for an hour.

I have Demons and Demons 2 in the Dario Argento volume one box set put out by Anchor Bay. I love the discs and both movies.
