Thanks for the info. She was wearing a modest skirt when she was on the Daily Show.

There's something about modesty in a woman that turns me on.

Sounds nice. She is gorgeous no matter what she wears if you ask me.

Negative reviews or not, I'm seeing it, as I disagree with reviews very often.

No matter what, people are gonna like what they wanna like. The trailer does look kick ass but people are going to have to learn the expensive way. I have read some good reviews myself but I have a feeling that on the bigger sites like imdb, the film makers have their friends flooding it with good reviews. Just like when they pulled the second screening at the Toronto film fest. They need to cover up how bad it is so they can blindside the film going public when the film debuts across the nation. So that way, there is less people like me to warn others before the offical release date. I would like to reiterate that Karen B. is not naked or anything in this film. So even she is not a good reason to watch this.

The fact that she was holding hands with her director/boyfriend, kind of killed the mood...

When you look at everything opening wide this weekend, Underworld might benefit.

The only other thing that appeals to me is Cold Creek Manor.

Both movies got trounced at Rotten Tomatoes. But my prediction for big box office this weekend is Secondhand Lion, just because its family friendly.

Bubba Ho Tep is opening in limited release and has ten out of ten fresh reviews. Does anyone know if Bubba is slated to go wide? Or are most of us fated to first find it on DVD?

I fear most of us are dvd fated if we don't live in the right big city.

I saw a couple goth chicks passing a copy of the comic book for this back and forth, at which point (the owner?) reverently slipped it into a plastic sleeve... I will not be seeing this in the theatre.

I'd been awaiting this film for a while, but all the negativity directed at it lately had me worrying about its quality. I just got back from seeing it, and am very happy to say that this film was quite thrilling to put it lightly. My instincts were correct yet again, and I wound up loving this film. It has some minor flaws and its gothic style is a bit derivative, but this film overcomes all that and delivers a very engrossing thrill ride with some cool characters, a groovy backstory, and stellar action sequences! And did I mention that Kate looks fantastic in black?

poop

saw it at a 12:45am showing this evening,
basically it comes down to the negativity spread about this flick being true, i have to disagree with cujo,
this film rips off numerous films, the many mentioned before it even came out, plus "batman," "terminator 2," and "buffy the vampire slayer,"
and there is an "elder" vampire ripped almost directly from "blade 2,"
and i know someone has gone off about it before, but why does every horror/sci-fi/action flick have to have someone being sliced in some way,
this film steals directly from "equilibrium" when taye diggs' face is sliced diagonally, the exact same situation occurs here, with the person getting quickly sliced, and turns around to look at the slicer, and 5-10 seconds go by, the slicee looks puzzled, and then half his face slides off his head, and his body drops to the floor,
this movie is fairly entertaining, but the fact that almost every scene is pilfered from somewhere else makes its impact lessened,
and
Spoiler:
the hybrid that scott speedman becomes is such a disapppointment, the look of him, not to mention the fact that he almost died, and yet he has mastered his new upgraded-self to beat probably the most powerful elder vampire that exists?
,
although, transformation scenes are well-directed, with quick cuts, never setting on the beasts for too long
another loud, talkative, obnoxious audience, humanity at its finest

It ripped off scenes from Resident Evil and Nemesis of what I noticed. There was extremely minute gore considering the premise of the story. It makes me wonder if they were under contractual obligation to not make this film for a strictly R rated audience.
After watching it last night, I couldn't agree with you more! This film was very drawn out, and was boring for a while. It was so derivitive. There wasn't a movie it didn't steal from, including the ending which, as legna said, took directly from Equilibrium. Unoriginal and uninspired!! Why in hell were the vampires and werewolves constantly fighting as humans with guns? Because it lowered the budget? The film did not meet my expectations at all!
