Maniac Cop DVD

I just got a new Maniac Cop DVD from Music World (in Canada). Its from Legacy Entertainmnet. Does any one know if its Wide Screen? It doesn't say one way or the other. I know the oop Elite disc was. It only cost me 4.99, but I'll probably take it back if its full screen (unless thats how it was shot, but I don't think it was). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm sure it probably does not have it, but I have to ask, does the Legacy Entertainment version have a commentary track?

The movie was shot fullframe.
I have the OOP Elite disc, and on the commentary Bruce is trying to point out the attention to detail with the rubbers on the nightstand, and Lustig mentions that no one can see what he's talking about since it's matted for the laserdisc (and dvd).
You won't miss any picture on the sides, but will miss the commentary and TV scenes from Japan.

Thanks for the info.
I thought for a second I might actually be able to get my most wanted dvd, but I guess not.

By the way, to anybody who has seen the Elite disk, how is the Bruce commentary compared to any or all of his other commentary tracks?

I'm just going to stick with my Elite LD until this gets released by BU or somebody reputable.

The comm. is alright, but not nearly as funny as other Bruce tracks. Bruce does do a lot of the talking, but it just doesn't have the feeling of his Evil Dead stuff.

Well, if the movie was shot full frame, I might hold on to this disc since I doubt I'll track down the elite disc. Thanks for the tip.

What were the additional scenes? There was mention of "additional scenes" during the end credits on the cheap disc I got. Did they involve the mayor and his aide?

Yep, those are the ones.
They were obviously shot at a different time, possibly by a second quit crew, and didn't fit the movie at all. Missing these is no big deal at all, the commentary is what makes the Elite disc sought after.
