They Live & South Park connection
I don't know if this was ever brought up before, but did you know that the whole "cripple fight" in South Park is a direct clone of the Roddy Piper and Keith David fight in They Live. It seems that Matt Stone and Trey Parker were really big fans of the film.
Neat stuff, huh?

You must have watched the VHI Goes Inside: South Park this past weekend. I did realize it either. Matt and Trey paying homage to Carpenter shows how cool they are.

Yep, that's exactly where I saw it. Those guys are great. I've never seen a shitty episode of South Park.

Thought that fight looked fimilar. That is cool, as the fight from They Live is considered by many to be the best onscreen fight ever!
On a kinda related note, the Jay (and Silent Bob) kicking Charles Barkley's ass on the Clerks animated series was a direct clone of the Godfather fight. |

Simpsons cloned the Godfather fight in the episode where Marge took steroids.... they'll have to do a Simpsons episode where someone goes "Clerks did it"
