The Zombie Survival Guide...best book ever

I just got this book last week and it's hilarious.

It's a survivalist manual in case the dead come back to life.

I saw this at Virgin Megastore and flipped through it. At first it peaked my interest, but it seemed to me that it was far too serious, and should have been more tounge in cheek. It felt like a serious survival manual, which it shouldn't have, given the subject matter.

The fact that it is so serious is what makes it funny. It's a rediculous subject so if you treat it in the most serious manner possible, humor is created. It's just like if you take something serious in a rediculous way it's funny.

Good point, but to me it still isn't worth the purchase.

I saw this at a bookstore the other day and thought it was a hilarious idea. But then, when I flipped through the book, I saw the author state that fire was a very poor weapon to use against zombies. Has he never seen NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD? As that movie clearly demonstrated, zombies are afraid of fire, making it a VERY effective weapon.

And this guy calls himself an expert? This is important stuff here. I could get eaten following his bad advice!

Get a surplus army survival manual, or better yet, a special forces one. It will keep you alive longer. And it's CHEAPER!

It tells you in the survival guide to pick up such army surplus manuals for tips on basic survival. The Zombie Survival Guide obly tells you how to take care of yourself when faced with the living dead.

...and fire is considered a bad weapon because a zombie that's on fire can still walk around for a little bit until the flames destroy the brain and can therefore spread the fire around potentially injuring you or any of your team. It's a survival guide not a guide on being a hero....heros tend to die.

An M-16 / AR-15 with a good scope and 30 or 40 round magazine. A lot of hits, if they are well placed. With Romero zombies(slow-moving), you have a chance. With the fast moving, new trend of zombies, you better be damn good!!
