Could you imagin having this on your living room table? It's like a white trash chandler!!

Looks like they fixed the case - who needs a Alien "kid growth chart" anyways?

God damn it, that would be so much more convenient instead of the 80 fold outs we have for the US release.

That looks incredibly kick ass. My mouth is watering just looking at it. That would look really good at casa onebyone.

Passed that initial "wow" when you open the US box, it's really a poor way to package the Alien DVD's. If you want to play dsic 9, you have got to fold all that crap out..... The R2 package, was much better, imo.

But this.... wow. That's quite strange, and it's definately different. I would imagine that's goig to be quite the collectors piece one day.

Fuck that's awesome.

Too bad it probably costs 200-300 dollars.

That is a kick ass box set! Pity that they were not that clever for the Region 1 release.

It's about 250 bucks and comes out April 30, but it's already sold out in Japan.

Whoa, that looks great. I agree about the US boxset being kinda crappy. My friend's set already had one of the clear plastic holder's glue backing come loose!

Mine arrived in the mail this way. So at least his lasted a while. Two of my were flapping around the box. That packaging was just a bad idea, imo.

Very cool packaging, but not worth $250.

What is cooler is that they will all get individual releases, which means it's time to get Aliens and Alien 3 with DTS!

Ya same here. It feels like the entire packaging is going to fall apart in a month.

I talked my wife into letting me get this. I ordered it just a few days after this post was made. I ordered it from Amazon.jp.

Apparently it was a very good move to order it. It is now sold out everywhere and Amazon.jp hasn't been taking orders for weeks now. People on DVD Talk are trying to find it like crazy, but no one is taking orders. Sounds like it's going to be a huge collector's item on ebay.

Hopefully I get it. I'm assuming with 9,000 sets all pre-orders that made it in will be filled.

The tough part for me is going to be seeing how much it sells for on ebay and then actually keeping mine instead of selling it for profit.

Apparently it come with the regular packaging (Japan packaging, which is much better) and the head. If so, my U.S. DVDs are going into the Japan packaging - very cool.
