While I haven't compared the dvd to the unrated tapes. The box says R rated for both films. Those who have it confirm it's the r rated versions, but never mention what's exactly missing. Having only seen the uncensored versions, I can't say what lot to look for. The disc is dolby digital stereo and full screen.

Well at least it'd be a 1:1 replacement for my vhs copy (plus Waxwork 2!....I only own the first one in R rated)

There's been a few threads about the Waxwork DVD double-feature DVD somewhere on here before. It's a good deal for under $10, but don't expect high quality from an Artisan Release that isn't a hugely popular title. No special features at all for either movie.

As long as Michelle Johnson's scenes look good I'm happy

I thought Waxwork was a popular movie. Everyone I know has seen either one of them and liked them.

Feh, who knows?

Artisan and "Popular" is Terminator 2. DVD re-releases and special features $$$$

aside from getting people to do a commentary there might not be much to put on a dvd for extras....anything filmed before 95-ish were filmed in an era where even laserdiscs weren't feature packed so why work on preserving anything for bonus features

There are trailers for both films, press materials, a making of featurette for the first film. There may be storyboards, production stills, outtakes, etc...

Deus may be right. Who knows. Dragon's release is definitely worth owning, however. The featurette is better than nothing. I hope they can do something good for Waxwork 2 as well.

Exactly. For the price it seems very cool. I dont have a tape player so just having them on dvd period is great. THey're both excellent. I hope it is indeed the unrated version. I think paul may be refering to the dragon disc though.
