In this case, Zombie 1 would be considered Dawn of the Dead (Zombie was its title when release overseas). Zombie 2 is titled Zombie here in the states, but it is actually an unofficial sequel to Dawn. I consider it its own movie, so I call it Zombie. With that said, I like the film. I think it was beautifully shot, and it is easily Fulci's best work.

Yes it is. Very good and has some of the best classic moments that stuck to me when I was younger and still remember to this day

Ekent.. Ok now I am a little confused.

So, is Zombi 2 the same one to the scene
Spoiler:
when the ladies eyeball gets poked at on the piece of glass?

If so,,, I did not know that Zombie and Zombi2 was the same flick.

Yep, same flick. Technically Zombie 1 is Dawn of the Dead. Shriek Show (or whoever is releasing this flick) is doing the right thing by calling it Zombie 2, as to avoid any further confusion, especially since they have released zombie 3, 4 and 5 now.

Shift, if you are desparate for a decent copy, I'd get the Anchor Bay version. It is good enough for me.

yep, technically speaking....

Zombie = Dawn of the Dead (overseas title was Zombie)
Zombie 2 = Zombie (Titled Zombie 2 overseas, titled Zombie in the states, and about to be titled Zombie 2 by Shriek Show)
Zombie 3 = Zombie 3 (go figure)
