Exorcist 3: SE
from http://www.diabolical-dominion.com/
'EXORCIST III' SPECIAL EDITION When I receive an email from someone named "Johnny Fart-pants" it's generally hard to take seriously. Luckily, I decided to take a closer look and it's payed off. See, Johnny works over at CaptainHowdy.com and they've got word from their contact at Morgan Creek that a special edition is in the works for The Exorcist III: Legion. Director/writer Willaim Peter Blatty is on board for the disc, which will boast his original cut of the film along with restored archived footage. We'll keep our eyes peeled for new developments. |

Oh my God!
Fantastic news! 2004's turning into The Year of the Exorcist! I look forward to future developments! Exorcist III remains one of my favourite horror films - genuinely unnerving stuff.

Wow. This is great news indeed.
Hopefully we will get to see the decapitated priest in the "director's cut".

Glad I didn't snag the bare-bones version now. I'm most looking forward to seeing the origional ending as the theatrical ending felt cheap and tacked on. It was definitely an effective film until the "exorcism".

This is some of the best news I've heard in a while! The Exorcist III is my favorite of the series. Yes, I even prefer it to the original. Very fucking happy that it will be getting the SE that it so richly deserves!
What a putrid waste of film. I avoided the pointless sequel, and I'll damn sure avoid this worthless remake. There's only one horror film I love more than The Hitcher, and it's remake was released last month. I laugh at the thought of anyone thinking they can better it. Of course, in this one the victim HAS to be a woman, when one of the key aspects of the original had to do with the bizarre relationship between Ryder and Jim Halsey. Now that I think about it, there is one way they could get me to see this. Throw Michael Bay between that diesel and it's trailer. Last edited by Cujo108; 01-06-2007 at 12:30 AM. |

OMFG this is just utterly fantastic news. This is one of my top 5 films. Now if only someone would do a new HD anamorphic transfer of The Thing I'd be really happy

From what i read, apparently the footage wasn't found or in such a bad shape, that no DC could be put together, thus the SE was scrapped. But who knows...
