Yup, and compared to the cropped HDTV version, it´s in the original 2.35:1 ratio

Really wish this would get a blu ray release but I doubt it.

Saw it recently on Netflix,had seen bits and pieces of it for years but finally caught it straight through.Though a tad silly it is fun and has some cool moments.I LOVED the CAR itself and the blaring horn,great stinger ! The desert setting kinda gave it the feel of those 50's sci0fi/horror flicks that Jack Arnold used to make.Another odd James Brolin cult flick like WESTWORLD and AMITTYVILLE HORROR.

Watched this many times over the years and still enjoy it. Great desert scenery in Utah, effective soundtrack, and some impressive stunt work. Nice to see R.G. Armstrong (the sheriff from Race With the Devil) playing a villain again. I wish Shout Factory could get this and release it on Blu-ray.
