La Settima Donna (Last House on the Beach) by Sazuma

So it's coming alright.Part two in Sazuma's Italian Genre Cinema Collection (part one being Suspected Death of a Minor).Directed by Franco Prosperi.

Release date is pushed back a little but if they make it as good as SDoaM you're in for a treat.

La Settima Donna cover and trailer

Filed under: La Settima Donna — office @ 5:36 pm

La Settima Donna (aka The Last House on the Beach aka Terror aka Verflucht zum Töten), No. 2 in our “Italian Genre Cinema Collection”, is slowly taking shape. Originally slated for release at October the 23rd of 2006, we had to bump the disc back due to the creation of additional features and a better image transfer (which actually looks absolutely stunning, by the way). The disc will now be released as a two-disc set with the film’s original Soundtrack on a separate audio CD in early 2007, the exact release date will be announced soon.

To shorten the wait a little, take a look at the German trailer of the film which is a sight in its own right as it is pretty cheesy, featuring a different dubbing job than the film’s actual German language track as well as a couple of different music cues. Click here to enjoy.
The picture on the left features the disc’s final cover art. Click to view an enlarged version.

Here's two more threads about the movie:

I still don't think it's my kind of movie.

Awesome! I've wanted to see this, but didn't want to shell out $50 for the Japanese disc.

I would like to see some more screen shots ... from the main movie ... and if possible in the original DVD Video frame size (not shrunk down although if you want to resize for 1:1 pixel aspect ratio that is A-OK to me).

I wonder if Sazuma's shipping is a little speedier than in the past?

Cool. Mine's here now. I'm digging the soundtrack right now. Hopefully I'll ward of the evilness on the Ides of March with this beauty tonight. If I don't end up watching it, that means I got drunk instead.

Read the review:
http://10kbullets.com/reviews/last-h...the-beach-the/
Quote:
Out of these Italian “Last House” clones The Last House on the Beach in tone and content is the closest to Craven’s Film. It is down right nasty and lacks any of humor which was a main part of House on the Edge of the Park’s charm.
Quote:
The Last House on the Beach is presented in an anamorphic widescreen that preserves the films original 2.35:1 aspect ratio. The sourced material sued in nearly flawless and the end result is spectacular as colors are vivid and details are razor sharp.
