Maximum Overdrive uncut

I'd always heard Maximum Overdrive was cut, but I thought it was pretty violent anyway, until yesterday. I had never seen it in widescreen and was thrilled when a friend lent me the anchorbay dvd. But after watching it I thought, wait a minute. So I did a root through and found my tape of Maximum Overdrive I taped in the early 90's off RTE 1 and it is indeed uncut. The swelling of the wound with the blood beginning to spray out after the dude gets hit with the can, the kid getting squished by the steamroller gos into graphic detail, about a million more squibs in the dixie boy diner shooting. I was thinking bout capturing all these with my PC, but where on the web could I host them?

So which is uncut, the tape or the dvd?

Fox will probably just use Anchor Bay's print, since it's already complete and they wouldn't have to spend their own money remastering it and such.

It looks like there were cuts made.

Read here. Though they only mention DVD's.

I'd be interested in seeing an uncut version, even if it means tape .

I would gladly double-dip for an uncut version of this one, as I saw it in the theatre and it holds a place in my heart.

Just watched this for the first time and was surprised to see how fun it was. It gets a lot of hate, and in all honesty, it is pretty cheesy, but I enjoyed watching it and all the insane kills and gore, including the kid getting run over by the steam roller. Did not expect that! I would def. repurchase an uncut version of this.

Oh, and how awesomely bad is the trailer with Stephen King doing crazy faces with the music from Halloween 3.

LOL that trailer is such a HOOT! When he said "If you want to do something right, you have to do it yourself" or something to that effect, I burst out laughing. He's actually comparing this to the likes of Carrie and The Shining?

Then when he says "I'll scare you.. that's a promise" I cracked up again. The film was cool, but is in NO WAY scary. How could it be with a rockin' soundtrack by AC/DC?! An action thriller maybe, but definitely NO horror film.

And goddammit I love the music from Halloween III lol. Always been one of my fav soundtracks.
