Hmm that last site is an anime site so maybe this Don't Go In The House is not the same movie we are thinking of.

Great find there Walkingdude, it also reads Nov. 29 on DVD Aficionado and says it's uncut. I love this movie also, a real gem from the 80's.

Right Stuff is an anime site but they do carry some live action as well. Especially if it was released by Media Blasters or ADV (which are heavy into anime releases)

Superb. I have the '90s BBFC-cut version of this movie so I'll definitely be picking up an uncut version on DVD. Highly underated movie. It's a great film - very effective with a big scare factor!

No word, but just saw it's a budget release ($10, most new are $25 to $35 here) and they now have a pic of the cover, so I assume they'd have listed extras if they have the cover, so looks to me like no extras

-Sony-MGM has confirmed reports that the first season of The Rat Patrol will be released on January 31, 2006. This 4 disc set will contain 32 episodes on 4 discs. The set will retail for $39.95.

TV Shows On DVD

- Waaaaay back in April we posted news about how MGM (now owned by Sony) was planning to release in July 2005 a $69.96 package called The Pink Panther Show - Classic Cartoon Collection 5-Pack Box Set. It was planned to tie in with the Summer release of the new Steve Martin Pink Panther live-action film, continuing in the tradition of Peter Sellers' theatrical classics. However, the cartoon series' release was delayed when the film's release was, and we've been waiting all this time for word of a new release date for the DVDs.

With the film (still) set with a new theatrical debut of February 10th, Sony-MGM is now scheduling the cartoon show to finally hit store shelves on January 31st. SRP is still going to be $69.96, and all the extras mentioned in the April announcement are still intact. Nor, it seems, has any of the packaging artwork changed:

* "Behind the Feline: The Cartoon Phenomenon" Documentary
* "Pink Patter With Art Leonardi: The Story Behind the Animation" Featurette
* "Remembering Friz: A Tribute to Friz Freleng" Featurette
* "Think Pink: How to Draw the Pink Panther" Featurette

All of last year I was buying stacks every Tuesday. For almost a month now I am lucky to buy one a week now. Last Tuesday I bought three and this week I am buying:

The Pink Panther Show - Classic Cartoon Collection 5-Pack Box Set.

Knight Rider Season 3

I might buy The Corpse Bride.

Just out of curiosity...

Does anyone here wait for titles to be discounted before buying instore?

In the U of K stuff tends to be top whack for a few months then eventually titles creep into special offers, for example:

3 for 20UKP - nearly always on in HMV (with slight variations on the theme).
4 for 20UKP - Currently on at WHSmiths.
5 for 30UKP - Usually on at Virgin.

ABUK titles nearly always come down in price a few months after release at many e-tailers (i.e. Play, Choices etc.). Same with HKL titles.

I only buy stuff on release date if it's limited or a Disney title.

I'm horrible for wanting stuff NOW and not waiting for sales, trying to break that though...

It totally depends on how much I want the title. If I want the film badly, I get it right away. Much of the time I can wait though - and do. On average, I expect I'm about 6 months behind most of the people on this site
