Having watched most of them again recently (with the release of the Legacy box), I'm still going with Frankenstein's monster. After all - deep inside, he's just a big softie.
Wolfman was a close second. I'm not sure whether it was Chaney Jr's portrayal, or the film itself, but it really gets you in. Lugosi's Dracula is iconic, but the first film is really nothing more than a filmed stage play when you think about it, and quite dull. The Spanish version on the Legacy disc really does what cinema is supposed to do - i.e. uses the medium of film! Last edited by Loomis; 07-02-2004 at 02:41 AM. |

Frankenstein. Either the films were genius artistically or absolutey ridiculas. Either way it was the most entertaining series out of all of Universal efforts.
