I just found out about this convention called MONSTER MANIA that is happening in Cherry Hill, NJ on August 27-29

Well it starts today and it ain't exactly close to me but I have to admit I enjoyed the thread about the HORORFIND CON with the pictures and whatnot so I thought it would be interesting to hear about people who are attending this here MONSTER MANIA convention.

Damn! That is gonna be a great con. I would LOVE to meet Danielle Harris..I have had the biggest crush on her for years. Cool to see Robert Englund there also, I would like to know his take on the Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash reports.
I would also LOVE to get a Ricou Browning and Ben Chapman autograph before it is too late. Not to jinx those two men but they are getting up in age.
Please give us a full report when this over.

Consider yourself lucky that you only live an hour away.

You could still go on Saturday or Sunday.

I go to the Chiller Theatre con and that is like a good 6 1/2 to 8 hour drive from Pittsburgh, PA where I live.

Once or twice a year for that (for Chiller) is enough for me. So yes I am not going to this MONSTER MANIA con but would still like to hear comments from those that do go.

Cherry Hill is about 20 minutes from me, but this weekend is O-U-T. Plans with the wife and kids. Man, I wish I had known about it two weeks ago...

Saturday hours are 10am to 7pm according to the website.

Seems silly to go at 7pm or later ???

wow i just got back!! It was cool as shit! I mainly wanted to meet Candice Hilligoss from Carnival of Souls, which I did, got a signed photo, plus she signed my Criterion COS and I got a pic with her. I also met Tony Todd who took a pic with me and signed my NOTLD '90 dvd. Got pics of Verne Troyer (mini me), Caroline Munro, Gunnar Hansen and others. If anyone wants to host them for me I can post them

Well I didn't see the info you posted and it is nice to see that something is happening after 7pm other than just showing movies BUT it does VERY clearly say that the dealer room hours are 10am to 7pm on Saturday ... rather common hours for a con of this type.
