Visually a great movie. A weak plot and to much volume with the music rates it a 5 in my book.

I gave it a 7 - love Argento but this film's never really worked for me.
Funnily enough, recently ordered the AB UK DVD for a friend and he's watching it tonight. Looking forward to seeing his reaction as he's a newcomer to Italian horror (and scares easily).... |

I gave it a 9. The story isn't great but the cinematography is incredible, and the the soundtrack is one of my favourites ever. The opening death is one of the most amazing things I have ever seen on film. The acting is good and the atmosphere is effective. Definetly one of Argento's best, even though it is very slightly overrated.

Watching Suspiria is akin to attending a rock concert for horror fans.
Don't stress the plot (because there really isn't much of one there)..just crank your system up and enjoy the show!  A 9.

A definite 10 for Suspiria. A masterpiece on several levels, and Argento's best film in my eyes. It contains some of the most beautiful imagery ever caught on celluloid, and the score is one of the greatest scores in film. Also, while many say the story is weak, I disagree, and quite enjoy the story that is present. Outstanding film.

7 for me. Its not a bad film. I like the visuals and the look of most of the shots and all. Story just didn't interest me that much. Awesome score though, one of the best I've heard.

I just revisited Suspira for about the 10th time but for the first time on my 61" DLP. I just seem to love this movie more and more each time I see. It's like no other horror film ever made. It's feels like an adult Alice an wonderland with it's amazing dream like atmosphere, beautiful sets, lighting and music. I mean you can take almost any shot from this film and frame it. How can anyway not see this as anything but a horror masterpiece. Why Argento varied so drastically in the look and feel of Mother of Tears is beyond me. If this film ever gets an HD release I don't know if I would watch anything else I think I would just keep it on repeat. I guess I voted 8.5 when i made this poll but it's easily a 9 now and going up.

Love this movie- only part I wasnt wild about was the scene with the bat- so silly it kinda ruined the mood of the film a bit- this is one movie I would love to see in Hi-Def
