DVD retitling

This is probably nitpicking, but does anyone else get dislike when euro or asian horror movies are released on dvd with their ridiculous american titles? For example, for years i've always been referring to Ultimo mondo cannibale as The Last Cannibal World and now everyone calls it Jungle Holocaust because of the Shriek Show dvd, and to me that sounds like a Cannibal Holocaust ripoff title. I know there are others that always bothered me but i cant think of them now lol

I hated it when Argento's NONHOSONNO was retitled SLEEPLESS on dvd here,but it was the artwork that was the worst part,made it look like a crappy zombie flick.How about a quality U.S. dvd release of that one,The current full frame one is terrible.

One that is legitimate but has bugged me is Image's release of "THE HOUSE WITH LAUGHING WINDOWS." I had heard about it for years as "THE HOUSE WITH THE WINDOWS THAT LAUGH," and while it still means the same thing, "LAUGHING WINDOWS" just sounds dumb to me.

i think i just experienced this watching shreik show's zombie 5 killing birds. i checked back on a thread and when that disc was coming out people had never heard it refered to as zombie 5. SS is just trying to cash in on the series or play the name confusion game with the holocaust titles.

Actually, ULTIMO MONDO CANNIBALE has been known as JUNGLE HOLOCAUST since it was released to US tape damn near 20 years ago. This is the title most stateside fans originally saw the film under and the title which it was most widely available as. (The only other domestic issue was CANNIBAL from Saturn Productions, and it was an unathorized port of the British Derann tape, which was trimmed of some violence and nudity.) I certainly see no issue with Media Blasters using this moniker; it's not as though they created it themselves.

I hate constantly re-titled movies....I just picked up the movie Spaceship with Leslie Neilsen (which is already a title change) but the DVD had the horrible title of Naked Space

I originally saw it as CANNIBAL on tape, but even before i had seen it i had heard so much about it from research and word of mouth. Not until SS's release had i heard of 'jungle holocaust' but thanks for the info, im glad media blasters didnt create it themselves. The Zombie 5: killing birds is a horrible one though. Wish they went with Raptors.
