Talking Al Adamson "Classics" On DVD

On 2/27, Troma will be releasing five Adamson "classics" (Dracula Vs. Frankenstein, Satan's Sadists, Blood of Ghastly Horror, Angels' Wild Women, and I Spit On Your Corpse.) on DVD. I'm sure Kaufman will throw in the usual Troma propaganda, but the extras look promising! The extras on each disc: a commentary with producer, Sam Sherman, a documentary on
Independent-International Pictures, a coming attractions trailer, a T.V. spot commerical, and behind the scenes photos.

Now, if only they could get the rights to Adamson's Vampire Men of the Lost Planet!

OH MAN!?? WHy Kaufman!!??? His propoganda is so annoying, he will probably claim he discovered Al Adamson or something. Or that Toxic Avenger or Kabuki man wa sinspired by Adamson or some crap! SOMEONE SHUT HIM UP!!!! Good news though that he doesnt seem to interfer with the commentary track, but if he does!....

By the way, I hope they release his ultimate best HORROR OF THE BLOOD MONSTERS!!!!

I can't wait for these discs, especially Blood of Ghastly Horror! Talk about childhood nostalgia...Re-master Brain of Blood too and I'm all set.

For those who are interested, DVD Drive-In has reviews for Dracula Vs. Frankenstein, Angels' Wild Women, and I Spit On Your Corpse. I'll be picking up DVF for sure!

I've just noticed Sub Rosa Extreme are...

..releasing Adamson's I Spit On Your Corpse, I Piss On Your Grave on the 16th July. The description of the film sounds interesting:

Sandy has stumbled onto a lair of torture and humiliation. She was abducted and brought to this pit of pain prisoners? Does she call the police? No. Her mind snaps and she assumes control over the prisoners, taking them as her own playtoys. Naked bodies writhe in ecstasy as blood runs down the walls in this chilling tale of madness and carnage, a festival of filth and an onslaught of sleaze!

Anybody seen this movie? Is it a low-budget classic or a waste of time and money?

The film they're releasing is NOT Al Adamson's I SPIT ON YOUR CORPSE, it's an unrelated SOV flick by the director of SCRAPBOOK. Heaven forbid soemone come up with an original title once in a while...
