You guys have been talking about the Giallo Collection 2. How is that coming along?

Lustig: It's good. We shot all the interviews. I think there is one more we are shooting, there's one interview with one of the directors... but we shot the bulk of our interviews last February in Rome. We started the transfers and we should be releasing it around the end of June next year.

Interviewer: I also saw something of Bird with the Crystal Plumage during your promo reel.

Lustig: We're releasing that as part of the Giallo Collection [Volume 2].

Interviewer: That's going to be part of the set? Wow.
So I guess Bird will replace Death Laid An Egg....pity....wanted to see that!

By the way also some Suspiria AND Four Flies news in that interview!

I've been hearing you guys are working on Dario Argento's Four Flies on Grey Velvet.

Lustig: We are. That one is tied up. There are some legal entanglements with it, which we have an attorney in Rome working on.

Disapointed to see Bird in it, to be honest. I knew BU were doing it, and I am sure it'll be better than the VCI - but it's not new to me, so the excitement factor is less.

Even more disapointed to read that he's not interested in going back to revisit the Hammers. I guess that means the current ones will go OOP and not be replaced?

DLAE is a somewhat enjoyable movie, but don't worry... you won't be missing much.

Death Laid an Egg is a great movie, and certainly the most experimental and ground breaking one out of the originally announced titles-Ive got the Japanese dvd which will do me just fine I suppose, but Im a bit dissappointed with this news to be honest!

I'm a bit disappointed that Bird.. is going to be included because I wasn't planning on upgrading the VCI disc. I would've rather had a different title or one less for a lower price, but ah well. It's a shame about Death Laid an Egg though, it was the one I was most looking forward to seeing.

Either way though, I've been anticipating this set since it was first announced and I will pick it up regardless.

Excellent news... I've been looking to replace my copy of THE BIRD WITH CRYSTAL PLUMAGE ever since my laptop scratched the hell out of it.

Can someone please list the movies that are currently going to be part of this second collection? BU's website doesn't have any info currently.
I have VCI's Plumage disc, but it's the first pressing that had some issues which I never got around to sending in for a replacement. It's not the top of my list, but I suppose I could do with an upgrade. I would've preferred something I haven't already seen, though.

( Foto proibite di una signora per bene, Le )
- Girl in the Yellow Pajamas, The (1977)

I announced the Death Laid An Egg info months back also. This has been common knowledge for quite some time now.

Death Laid An Egg is a terrific Giallo, certainly would have been the best of the set. The R2 Japanese Disc will do just fine for now.
