Angry OMG!!! What's with the video quality in The Wicker Man?

In the extended version, anybody notice the picture quality faded back and forth between scene? This really suck.

It was the best they could do, the extended versions added scenes had to be mastered from a video cassette(The only source left).

I thought it looked great. Especially Brit and her body double! I guess what with the story, the fine flesh, and the fact that it's basically a marvel that this film has survived at all, I hardly noticed any imperfections. Not that they are not there, I just don't think they could be any better, unless someone goes and tears up that English road.

Video quality: Read the disclaimer before the movie.. Err..

As for the Wicker Man.. Anyone else disappointed that theres no Chris Lee commentary on it? We have one for Scars of Dracula so why not WM which Lee claims is his favorite movie? I'm sure he would like to do one for it..

I guess this just gives AB a chance to re-release it in a year?

Exclamation

I don' t think they'll ever tear up that road unfortunately, not even if Chris Lee begged them. Maybe if Steven Spielberg and George Lucas begged them, and told them if was of vital importance to the history of motion pictures. Someone should start a petition and start a fond. The roadblocks wouldn' t be up forever, and the place would benefit from the publicity.

Oops. . Damn! I gotta start reading all that FBI warning and disclaimer crap from now.
As for Lee's commentary, the closest one is an excerpt appearance on some show. Insert the "Theatrical version" scroll all the way down until the last option on the menu and scroll right. You should see a "white square ?" mark in the Wicker Man's figure. Click on it, there's the interview.
