The Hitcher (Remake)

from www.bloody-disgusting.com:

"Michael Bay spilled the beans to Bloody-Disgusting about his upcoming horror projects with Platinum Dunes. As of right now the plan is to remake the insane 1986 horror/thriller The Hitcher." In the original, which starred Rutger Hauer and Jennifer Jason Leigh, a young man transporting a car to another state is stalked along the road by a cunning and relentless serial killer who eventually frames the driver for a string of murders. Chased by police and shadowed by the killer, the driver's only help comes from a truck stop waitress."

More news to be posted as it arrives in my greedy hands.

Fuck this miserable news and Michael Bay's sorry, pathetic ass! Its bad enough that Black Christmas is being remade, but now they're remaking yet another of my top five favorite films? Someone please recreate the torso ripping/diesel scene with Bay as the victim.

Angry

Revolting scumbag. Is there no hero who would murder Bay, so that the world might rejoice, free of the fears that one day the cockroach will release "Armageddon VII", "Pearl Harbor IV", the remake of the remake of the remake of the remake of "The Exorcist", and an "Exorcist versus the Omen" crossover...?

"Why does Michael Bay get to keep on making movies? I guess Pearl Harbor sucked, just a little bit more than I miss, you."

Matt & Trey, your brilliance astounds me.

Seriously, I've stopped getting angry at these remakes. It's stopped being annoying, now it's just so pathetic it's funny. I look forward to hearing about more remakes, because every time I see another classic mentioned, it makes me laugh my ass off. It's like an extended joke that just keeps getting funnier and funnier the more it goes on for.

With any luck, Bay will pick up a John Ryder in his travels.

I'm with John on this one...it's just gotten so sad and desperate!!! I used to be furious at first, but it looks like they're just goingdown the clasic horror cannon and remaking EVERYTHING. Maybe they'll do Q: THE WINGED SERPENT next?!

Hollywood has eaten itself...and it's funny.

"Manos".

Bay must remake "Manos". With Keanu Reeves as Torgo.

Anything that has Micheal Bay's name attached to it will be easy to avoid.
