Blood Of The Beast
Anybody seen this 2004 movie? A friend borrowed it to me a while back and I haven't gotten daring enough to give it a whirl. It looks like a cheap shot-on-video movie and it only clocks in at 67 minutes.
Just wondering if it's worth that much time is all. |

The name sounded familiar, so I went looking, and I just realized I have a copy of this. I'll give it a look over the next few days and let you guys know how it is

Yeah, that's the one. I think I'll try watching it tomorrow morning. I just rented Heavenly Creatures, The Pit And The Pendulum, and Showgirls. None of which I had seen. About to throw in the last one (The Pit And The Pendulum).

i used to have this on dvd until i sold it. it was "ok", kind of a ripoff of Night of the Living Dead. basically it's an "end of the world" type of movie. been awhile since i watched it so i can't really give details. it was worth a view, but not something i'd watch again.

I thought you were referring to Georges Franju's documentary that is featured on the Eyes Without a Face DVD.
Haven't seen this one but it looks interesting.

Naw, I fell asleep to Hellboy instead. I got through that the first time I watched it and didn't like the second half. Now, the last 3 times I've tried, I've fallen asleep before I can even give the second half a second chance. I'll throw it in today, sometime, for sure though.

Well, as I stated I would, I finally sat my ass down and watched it this morning.
Umm, it was interesting and had some nice shots. The acting was not-surprisingly horrible. Alot of it was just disorientating though which made it somewhat hard to watch, even for the 67 minute run-time. Final Thoughts: I was expecting something different than what it was, but it slightly exceeded my expectations, which were pretty low to begin with. Not bad for a one-time watch, but make no mistake, I would not advise a purchase if you have ANY other way of seeing it. |
