i just want to know what is the best horror novel adapt to the best screen...
like to know the name of the writer etc and the name of is novel.

Has to be Anne Rice's Interview With The Vampire.
I think Neil Jordan did a terrific job, and Cruise, Pitt and Kirsten Dunst are all exceptionally good. |

There'll be few who will diagree with me when I say Shirley Jackson's novel 'The Legend of Hill House' - which was the blueprint for the original B/W version of The Haunting, directed by Robert Wise (West Side Story, Star Trek : The Motion Picture)

That's easy: "Rosemary's Baby" by Ira Levin. The movie follows the novel so well, the actors might as well have been handed a paperback copy of Levin's book in lieu of a script.
