Recommend movies set around Halloween or autumn
I haven't posted here for a long time but really craving new Halloween or even fall based horror movies. Any recommendations aside from the most obvious (Halloween of course) are welcome. Thanks.

Jack-O
Night of the Demons The Midnight Hour Hallow's End The Fear: Halloween Night I own 3 of the above, but have only seen Jack-O so far. It's not that bad, I'd advise it. Funny commentary, Linnea nude, not to mention the neighbors who don't want to give the kids "a hand-out"

I second IGotsNewShoes' recommendation of Night of the Demons. Great, great movie. Night of the Demons 2 is great as well, but part 3 sucks ass.

Another vote for Madman here-I just watched it again and I absolutely love this movie. One of my top 10 horror favorites of all time. incredibly, it supposedly is taking place on the LAST WEEKEND BEFORE THANKSGIVING at the end of camp. What the hell kind of camp runs until Thanksgiving? Do none of these kids (of which there are about five) go to school? Still, an incredible movie.

I've been very tempted to order Night of the Demons through Deep Discount DVD. Can someone kindly give me a little more information about it? I'd look it up at the IMDB or on Google, but I'm already signed on hear and I'm too tired and too lazy to do so.
... I second House of 1000 Corpses and Clownhouse. Both are very fun and very appropriate titles to view on Halloween. I also noticed that no one mentioned the Garfield Halloween special or any of The Simpsons Treehouse of Horror episodes. Yes, they're cartoons and I know they're not horror movies, but I like to mix it up a little and these add a little fun and variety to the mix. |

What, no Hocus Pocus? Yeah, I know, it's silly as hell but the only movie to showcase Sarah Jessica Parker in a role she was born to play.
And keeping with the witch theme, PBS has recently released Three Sovereigns for Sarah on DVD - not necessarily an autumnal film, but an incredible story about the Salem witch trials. Truly disturbing. |
