What's New In KISS Collectibles
KISS Meets the Phantom DVD
From: KISSmuseum.com

Serious movie critics and on-line summaries of the first full-length KISS movie often portray it as a low-quality laughable production. But fans know better. The October 28, 1978 Saturday Night Movie of the Week was one of the most anticipated dates for young KISS fans across the nation. To be able to see Ace, Gene, Peter and Paul acting out their larger than life characters in an action film was much more of a rewarding wait than the anticipation of Christmas. Combining acting, action, mystery and some of the most incredible concert footage ever shot of the band, it is a treasure to be watched over and over.

October 25th is the first official release date ever of the movie on DVD. The picture quality is comparable to VHS and has a mono soundtrack as had the original release 27 years ago. No special extras other than chapter selection, but nonetheless it is good to have a good, clean version of this film on a modern video disc.

I love this picture of Paul Stanley from IMDB. It certainly explains why they still need the makeup when they tour.

He's certainly no uglier than members of other bands such as The Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, The Who, Cheap Trick, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath or Iron Maiden to name but a few.
