It's not a film that will blow you away the first time you watch it but give it a few viewings and you will appreciate it more.

The first time I saw it on Elvira's Movie Macabre, I laughed at it and thought it was cheesey. (In my defense, Elvira was hosting the show.) It took a few viewings for me to really appreciate it for the great movie it is.

Actually I was blown away on my first viewing. I think Zora does a superb job of making Jessica seem so real, and the atmosphere just creeps me the hell out.

This movie didn't do much for me when I first saw it. I'll give it another go but I'm skeptical.

I loved the movie immediately the first time I saw it, but I can see where people would need time to let it soak in .... brilliant film in my opinion.

If you didn't catch the movie's vibe at all, all may just be lost for you. You're all just doomed. It might be worth checking the new DVD out though, as the picture is so much improved from any previously available version that I think the movie is greatly enhanced.

This movie is awesome! I've watched it for a long time on VHS. While the VHS is a little more creepy, the DVD def. does shine. Except for some grain, the picture is really good, and brings out the atmosphere and excellent scenery and photography.

I'm afraid to watch it. I've been holding off buying the vhs for years waiting for the dvd. I'm afraid my hopes will be too high for it from reading all the great reviews of it that it will never be able to meet my expectations.

I think I will check this out again after all. If I can find the DVD cheap enough at a local store or something, I will pick it up and give it another try.

I think the transfer was amazing. Gone is the washed-out, '70's tele-movie look that the VHS had/has, and in its place is a brilliant, colorful and crystal clear picture. Very happy with it.
