Haven't seen this, but it caught my attention about a week back while visiting Synapse's website. I placed it high on top of my Netflix list; hopefully I'll be able to watch it the week it's released.
The story sounds good, and I really like Olga Karlatos — she gave my favorite performance in Zombie. "I asked you a question!" |

I wasn't too sure what to think of this, but now I'm convinced I need to pick it up. Just about anything from Synapse sounds good to me anyways, but sharks and cannibalism? Sold.

I was expecting a huge cheese fest and yes, there are moments of bad dubbing but overall - good stuff! Well made natural disaster/survival action/drama. Kinda like a mix between Alive (1993) and Open Water.
Worth a looksy

How can you go wrong with Hugo Stiglitz?
Well, I suppose it's pretty easy to do. |

I found it very tedious, slow and boooooring.

I actually thought it was quite well done. Occasional moments of bad over-acting (which added some fun to the movie when it got a little too...serious), but one of those movies that you almost feel like you're trapped on the boat/in the water with the other people. Nice natural disaster footage and enough shark fun to make things interesting, but it's more of a movie about people stranded and how they react to it.
Pretty damn good actually. |
