Horror movies you HAVEN'T seen... but should have!

How about listing all the horror movies you haven't seen, but should have. The ones you are embarrased to say you still haven't checked out. Here I go:

Halloween
Halloween 2
Halloween 4
Halloween 5
Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers
Phantasm (all of them)
Cannibal Holocaust

That's all the main ones I can think of now.

I'm never embarrassed for not seeing sequels. They are usually lower on my priority list.

I would say (although hoping to change that soon)

Tombs of the blind Dead
The Devil Rides Out
Two Thousand Maniacs!
Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein
Them
It's Alive
Nekromantik

That's all of the "popular" films I can think of.

Tenebre
Demons 2
Repulsion ... I've seen bits and pieces when I was a child, can't remember much about it.

I'm sure there are more

Black Christmas (seen a little bit of it, but had to leave)
Black Sunday (most Bava films can be added to this list)
It's Alive (and it's sequels)
Dellamorte Dellamore
Cannibal Holocaust (or many of the other jungle/cannibal films)
Peeping Tom
Diabolique
Carnival Of Souls
Picnic At Hanging Rock
Patrick

I know there are more as well, but that's what gets me the most.

Eye of the Devil, was one I just saw recently that I have never seen and was totally blown away.
If you haven't seen Buddy Boy or Screams of a Winter NIght I highly recommend them. They are worth seeking out.

Dead & Buried
Dead & Breakfast
Cannibal Holocaust (and like tobaccoman, many other cannibal/jungle/sick ass movies)

and soon to be rectified...

Ginger Snaps 1 & 2 (got 'em DVR'd off of IFC....here's hoping my hard drive doesn't crash).

Hmm... not much really comes to mind right now. I have never seen Nekromantik or Schramm though.

For me, it would have to be most Bava films, Inferno, Phenomena, Street Trash and a few others I (obviously) can't remember. I'm actually pretty good at keeping up with my viewings of popular titles.

Oh yeah, I've yet to see Phenomena and still need to give The Bird With The Crystal Plummage and Deep Red proper viewings. There are many movies I saw years ago that I think would benefit from another viewing though as my tastes have changed dramatically.

Dead & Buried
Fiend Without A Face
The Blob (original)
Onibaba
Dark Water (Japanese original)
Faust
Sisters (don't know if it's really horror, but whatever)

almost all the Hammer films
almost all Paul Naschy films

I also don't think I've gotten through an entire viewing of...
Dracula
The Wolf Man
The Invisible Man
Creature From The Black Lagoon

WHAT KIND OF A HORROR FAN AM I?!

Quite frankly, there's a ton of horror movies I haven't seen. I wouldn't know where to start, but I'll just say:

The Horror of Dracula (but I own quite a few Hammer titles)
The Devil Rides Out
The Devils Rejects (that'll change tomorrow)
Anthropophagus
Alone in the Dark (1982)
All Amityville movies except for 1, 2 and the Remake
All chucky movies except the first one
Grapes of Death
The Innocents
Satan's little Helper
I could keep going for hours...but that doesn't mean I don't want to see any of these, some I just haven't got to yet.

I don't know anything about being embarassed. More than 90% of the films listed here besides Halloween & Phantasm series are not even close to being mainstream. The majority of the public dosen't even know they exist.
